Sharjah24: The Department of Social Education in Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) organised a session entitled "Mental Health in Youth" in conjunction with the World Mental Health Day, based on its importance and great impact on the individual and society, especially since the state has developed a national policy to promote mental health, which includes 5 strategic objectives to address this disease and mitigate its negative effects.
Maryam Ibrahim Al-Qusair, Director of the Department of Social Education, knew that mental health is an essential and integral part of the general health of the individual, and is considered one of the essential things to consolidate our collective and individual ability to think, be affected, interact with each other as human beings, earn a living and enjoy life.
Al Qusair called on young people to focus on mental health to achieve public health through regular bedtime, proper nutrition, exercise and preoccupation with developing skills, abilities and talents owned by young people and available in society.
