The Public Health Department at Mleiha Municipality intensified inspection campaigns, to ensure health and food safety conditions, and to maintain the health and safety of the community, in different commercial establishments, markets and food stores.
Ahmed Awad Al Ketbi, supervisor of the Public Health Department at Mleiha Municipality, stressed that the municipality is keen to maintain the health and safety of community members, through inspection campaigns and periodic visits to different shops.
Speaking exclusively to Sharjah 24", Al Ketbi saud that the Health Department carried out a total of 2300 inspection campaigns, and periodic visits.
Al Ketbi added that the Health Department organises, monitors, follows up, and trains food staff within the Sharjah Food Safety Programme "SFSP", in order to improve the practices of food establishments’ workers and ensure food safety.
