Sharjah 24: Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) launched the "You Are Our Paradise" initiative, where it distributed 3,871 agricultural seedlings to elderly citizens of Sharjah.
Sharjah Volunteer Centre of the SSSD assigned 387 volunteers to distribute the seedlings in Sharjah and its affiliated cities.
Hessa Al Hammadi, Director of the Department of Community Cohesion, stated that working to provide agricultural seedlings to the elderly helps improve the environment around them as agriculture is something they like, reminds them of the past, and spread joy among them.
Al Hammadi added that the distribution began two days ago with the help of several third parties.
