Bin Amer inspects Eastern Region’s preparedness for ‘Shaheen’

Sharjah 24: Brigadier Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, along with Brigadier General Dr. Ahmed Saeed Al Naour, Director General of Central Operations at Sharjah Police, and Colonel Dr. Ali Al Kai Al Hamoudi, Director of the Eastern Region Police Department, inspected the Eastern Region's comprehensive police stations’ preparations and readiness for the tropical storm.

Touring the Eastern Region's coasts, Bin Amer ensured the competent authorities’ in advance preparedness for the tropical condition anticipated to affect the area , and the proactive and preventive measures that will be taken to mitigate its impact on the Emirate of Sharjah's eastern coasts.

In the presence of Brigadier General Dr. Ali Salem Al Tunaiji, Director General of Federal Central Operations, Bin Amer also met with the Eastern Province's Executive Committee for Crises and Disasters to discuss developing precautionary measures in the event that the Eastern Region's cities overlooking the Sea of Oman are affected by the tropical cyclone.

Bin Amer stressed that the Eastern Province's Executive Committee for Crisis and Disasters, led by Brigadier him, is well-prepared to deal with the upcoming tropical predicament and will take proactive and preventive measures to mitigate its impact on the cities along the Sea of Oman coast in the Eastern Region.

He emphasised that coordination and plans have been devised with the Crisis and Disasters Authority and the concerned departments to prepare the facilities and places that may be needed during the crisis to ensure everyone is safe.

According to the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, all sectors of the community must work together with national authorities to successfully exit the crisis with no loss of life or property, as well as taking precautions and steps in the affected areas during the duration of the tropical condition, such as restricting access to beaches and the sea and preventing approaching valleys, torrential downpours, and floods.
