Sharjah24: The work crews in the Kalba Municipality, in cooperation with the competent departments, and with the follow-up of the Executive Committee for Crisis and Disaster Management, mobilized to implement the field deployment plan to deal with the repercussions of tropical cyclone "Shaheen".
The municipality has begun deploying a huge fleet of its equipment and machinery in the areas expected to be affected by the rise of sea waves, with the support and logistical supply from several municipalities of the cities of the Emirate of Sharjah.
The work teams continue their efforts during the night hours in constructing berms along the beach to help reduce the effects of the hurricane as soon as it reaches the city's coasts, in addition to operating rainwater drainage stations in the areas adjacent to the beach.
Kalba Municipality uses advanced mobile pumping stations "Al Sadd", which operate with a suction capacity of 400 liters of water per second, in addition to a large number of 6-inch pumps, and a large fleet of tanks with a capacity of 5,000 gallons.
