Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Districts and Villages Affairs Department (SDVAD) affirmed its cooperation with the Friends of Arthritis Patients Society (FOAP) of the Supreme Council For Family Affairs (SCFA) to launch awareness campaigns and examinations for the people to build a healthy society free of diseases.
Khamis bin Salem Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the SDVAD, accompanied by Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, director of the Department, received the delegation of FOAP, headed by Waheeda Abdelaziz, Chairperson of FOAP, at the headquarters of the SDVAD in Sharjah.
The two parties discussed developing the partnership and launching awareness campaigns in addition to medical examinations to maintain public health.
Al Suwaidi praised the role of FOAP and its constant efforts in highlighting its role in raising awareness among the community members and conducting necessary medical examinations. He indicated that the department is keen to strengthen this cooperation to implement community initiatives and activities for the suburbs’ people.
Waheeda Abdulaziz pointed out the importance of the meeting in coordinating future efforts to adopt relevant events and activities that raise awareness among community members and reassure their health status, stressing that FOAP organises numerous events in line with the vision of the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the SCFA, to raise awareness of arthritis.
