Sharjah 24: In line with the directives of the Ministry of Interior and the Sharjah Police (SP) aimed at making customers happy, raising the quality of services provided, and ensuring security and societal awareness through the application of regulations and traffic safety requirements, Colonel Ahmed Jassim Al Zaabi, Director of the Central Region Police Department, in cooperation with the Sharjah Driving Institute, the strategic partner, inaugurated a rehabilitation programme for violators of the Federal Traffic Law, to rehabilitate and train violating drivers, with black points, as the programme aims to reduce traffic points and give drivers an opportunity to avoid revocation of driving licences.
Colonel Al Zaabi explained that the programme will run in three languages (Arabic, English and Urdu), and focuses on rehabilitating and training traffic violators enrolling them in specialised lectures and courses, and the driver has the right to join the programme once in a year.

Colonel Al Zaabi pointed that the programme educates drivers about safe driving, informs them about dealing with traffic points, enhances their positive behaviours, and reminds them of the risks involved in committing violations. 

Colonel Al Zaabi stressed the continuity of SP’s efforts to develop services provided to customers in all security fields.
