Sharjah24: Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) announced its readiness to hold its annual forum "The Seniors Forum" in its tenth edition under the title “Digital Society of Older People" , taking place at Al Suhub Rest Area in Khorfakkan on 30th of September.
Maha Mansour Al Ali, Director of Government Communications Department at SSSD , stated that the forum for Elderly Services will be held in parallel with the International Day for elderly, which falls on 1st October each year. The forum aims this year to share local and international experiences in the field of digital services dedicated to elderly during the pandemic.
Al Ali emphasised the Sharjah government's keenness to serve the elderly segment of the society in accordance with the class standards, as the city exerts unlimited efforts to support them to meet their needs in order to provide a decent life for them.
The slogan "Digital Society of Older People" comes in line with the great progress in digital services, which has an impact on the services provided to elderly segment.
