Sharjah 24: Based on the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, consolidating the culture of volunteering and humanitarian work, His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Abdullah Salumeh Al Ketbi, Director of Al Bataeh Municipality, stated that Al Bataeh Municipality launched “Make them Happy” initiative, in the presence of His excellency Mohammed Abdullah bin Halis Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Municipal Council at Al Bataeh District, in cooperation with the Department of Social Services, Sharjah Volunteer Centre, Al Bataeh Police Station, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and a number of entities and supporters of humanitarian work.

His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Abdullah Salumeh Al Ketbi stressed that the charitable initiative appreciates the workers’ efforts; mitigates the effects of the natural conditions, in which they work under the sun’s heat; and expresses thanks and gratitude for their efforts, bringing happiness to their hearts and drawing a smile on their faces.

“Make them Happy” is one of the series of initiatives within the framework of the humanitarian and volunteer work, through which Al Bataeh Municipality seeks to consolidate the concept and culture of volunteer work, building strategic partnership with the Sharjah Volunteer Centre and offering many volunteer opportunities during the next phase. The initiative aims to distribute 1000 meals and 3000 bottles of cold water and juice, as well as 500 sun protection caps for workers in the Al-Bataeh area.

The Director of Al Bataeh Municipality also extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to all government agencies participating with the municipality for their support to the events and activities of Al Bataeh Municipality.
