Sharjah 24: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Committee praised the emergency management preparations of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) to deal with any emergency of stadiums blackout in a period not exceeding 5 minutes.
AFC team paid a visit to SEWA to ensure the measures taken by the authority in emergency cases in the stadiums during official matches.
Engineer Abdul Rahman Karam, Director of Emergency Management, confirmed that a test was conducted in the presence of the AFC Committee to simulate emergency power outages during matches, and the test was conducted in record time, as a mobile generator was installed to restore power in record time.
Engineer Karam added that SEWA is working to support sports activities and provide all possibilities for the success of sports tournaments and matches that are held in the stadiums of Sharjah.
