Sharjah24: Humaid Yousef Al Banna, Director of Transportation Department (TD) at Sharjah City Municipality (SCM) confirmed the Municipality's keenness to recycle materials resulting from maintenance work and implement many projects in it to serve different departments.
Al-Banna explained that the percentage of recycling the waste of the maintenance work in the department reached to 60%, noting that during the corona pandemic, the department made sterilisation gates for individuals and vehicles, and used some of these materials in maintenance equipment.
During her statements to "Sharjah 24", Al-Banna indicated, that the Transportation Department in the Municipality prepared its offices from recycled materials, with a room for training students or technicians and drivers in the administration also made of these materials, in addition to establishing a library and re-maintenance of a bus to serve the municipality's guests, as well as some tables and other aesthetic objects.
