Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW) has recently completed the development of Al Turaif Park in Kalba. Eng. Mohammad bin Yarouf, Director of the Branches Department at the SDPW, stated that the construction projects in the city are proceeding according to the plans.
Bin Yarouf pointed out that the SDPW provided Al Turaif park with a variety of services and facilities, including a prayer room, a cafeteria, restrooms, a rubber walkway, a children's playground, among other services and facilities.
The department has succeeded in increasing the number of urban parks and green areas in the city, which was estimated at 900,000 square meters. The city currently includes 12 parks that vary between urban parks and theme parks, and they contain various types of trees including palm trees, Banyan trees, Albizia lebbeck, and many more.
