Sharjah 24: Maryam Al Khalifa, Head of Public Relations Department in Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF), stressed the importance of the humanitarian role played by SSEF in the “AALAM BEL QALAM” project which provides full educational support to the orphans who lost their supporters, believing in the importance of education, and the need to face all the educational, whereas the Foundation provides educational support for more than a thousand students and about 500 students are still on the waiting list.
Al Khalifa pointed that SSEF aspires, through the public’s participation, to provide educational support to the rest of the orphan students eligible for support. Al Khalifa called all philanthropists to support the “AALAM BEL QALAM” project to secure school and university education to students, who will in return be active members in the society.

The “AALAM BEL QALAM” project includes a series of various academic projects and services that contribute greatly to the orphan students' right to education. Projects are carried out with the help and collaboration of all society sectors and institutions where 300 dirhams monthly or 3600 dirhams annually are provided so that each orphan receives educational programmes, which in turn reflects the community solidarity and the importance of humanitarian work.

The “AALAM BEL QALAM” project made great achievements during the first half of 2021, as the Foundation gave support to students who were unable to pay their tuition fees, which were estimated at nearly half a million dirhams, provided for 82 students.

The Foundation also provided remedial lessons in cooperation with the Sharjah Education Council in the “Madad Centers” initiative with the aim of empowering students and raising the level of their academic achievement to help them pass exams. The total number of beneficiaries of the booster lessons reached 42 students.
