Sharjah 24: In a meeting held by the General Secretariat of the Arab Parliament for the Child (APC), for the editorial board of the the Young Parliamentarian magazine, His Excellency Ayman Othman Al Barout, Secretary-General of Arab Parliament for the Child (APC), confirmed that the Young Parliamentarian magazine achieved great success in the first and second issue, tackling the reality of the Arab child.
Al Barout explained that the editorial vision of the magazine achieves the APC goal consolidating the culture of reading, highlighting the importance of the role of the child and mobilising children energy to serve their country. He added that the magazine's mission is to be a model for addressing the Arab child expressing their present and future.
The meeting, was held remotely using virtual communication technology, and was attended by members of the editorial team from the Arab Parliament for the child, namely Lilas Kaabi from Palestine, Turki Al Thawadi from the Kingdom of Bahrain, Maryam Anqiri from Morocco, Saad Al Shairi from the Morocco and Ghala Al Mutairi from Kuwait. The meeting was also attended by His Excellency Ayman Othman Al Barout, Dr. Haider Waqi Allah, APC Managing Editor, and the General Secretariat’s staff involved in editing the magazine, Maryam Al-Nuaimi, Maryam AlKhamisi, Muhammad Al-Hosani and Majid Al Marzouqi.
The editorial board examined the visions presented by members of parliament aiming at continuing the development of the Young Parliamentarian magazine, and working towards its success and uniqueness as an Arab media window that presents young parliamentarians to the various children of the Arab world.
The meeting tackled the chapters and titles of the magazine, how they are related to children issues, adapting their discourse to the child's level.
The meeting also discussed the technical aspect of the magazine’s pages, images and colors in addressing the topics presented to attract the child, while inviting children from all over the Arab world to participate in editing the magazine pages according to the requirements set for editing.
