Sharjah 24: Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) organised, on Wednesday, at Al Suhub Rest Area in Khorfakkan, a discussion session for Emirati writer Awad bin Hasoum Al Darmaki, in the presence of His Excellency Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Amri, Chairman of the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), and a number of officials and those interested in the literary field.
His Excellency the Chairman of SBA confirmed that the cultural movement in the Eastern Region (ER) did not stop despite the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic.
His Excellency added, in statements to "Sharjah 24”, that SBA is keen through its activities, to translate the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on the significance of culture to raise people's awareness.
His Excellency pointed to the importance of such dialogue sessions in shaping awareness among the younger generations in particular, and the general segments of society through the purposeful and distinctive cultural content provided.
