Al Ali: 'Clubs Race for Rationalisation' raises envi. awareness

Sharjah 24: On the level of shared responsibility, the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) launched in partnership with the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA), the "Clubs Race for Rationalisation" on Wednesday, at the Sharjah Ladies Club.
This comes under the motto "I am a rationalising athlete," as part of SSC's focus on the importance of rationalisation in the sports sector, spreading a culture of environmental awareness, and raising awareness of the importance of water and electricity, urging the protection of natural resources.

Abdullah Hussain Al Ali, Director of Support Services Department at the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), said in exclusive statements to “Sharjah 24”, that the aim of initiating the race is to raise awareness of environmental protection.

The race is composed of two major categories and seven awards, with one category including sports and specialised clubs and six awards, while the second category comprises several categories for the best sport app.

The total value of awards in all categories is 150,000 dirhams.
