SSC opens registration for 'Khorfakkan Suhub Challenge'

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) has begun registration for the 8-kilometer Khorfakkan Suhub Challenge, which will take place on Friday, September 10, 2021, and will attract 120 participants aged 16 and up from both genders.
The race is part of SSC's current year's community sports series, which is being organised in collaboration with a number of government and private entities and institutions.

This race is for the road bikes only, TT bikes, mountain bikes or any other type are not allowed to participate and helmet is mandatory. 

His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), stated that SSC continues to organise and hold sports and community events in order to encourage various segments of society to participate in sports and embody SSC's goals in the implementation of His Highness' visions and directives, Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family with the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Executive Council (SEC).

His Excellency went on to say that the event would take place in the Al Suhub Rest Area in Khorfakkan, one of the unique and new tourism attractions that His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah chose to open last July. It is situated at a height of 600 metres above sea level and offers a unique perspective of Khorfakkan's beautiful cityscape. The location was chosen to combine sporting and tourist activity.
