Sharjah 24: Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) announced the launch of "Our Clubs Are Safe" project, which targets Sharjah clubs as part of its quality strategies.
SSC launched "Your Safety Bus" initiative on the 16th of August in cooperation with the Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority (SPSA) to be running until October. The initiative consists of a mobile cultural project using an equipped bus to support cultural expansion in the field of prevention and safety. The bus screens a series of awareness films in Arabic and Urdu, in Sharjah clubs, targeting building security staff and support workers from various construction, health and safety sectors.

Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of Sharjah Sports Council indicated that the initiative is in cooperation with the SPSA, and it is one of the encouraging initiatives on the importance of following prevention and safety methods that contribute to the safety of the target groups.  Al Hazami added that SSC and the clubs play an important role in implementing the visions and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the follow-up of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Executive Council.

Abdullah Hussain Al Ali, Director of Support Services Department at Sharjah Sports Council pointed that "Our Clubs Are Safe" project comes with various initiatives that implement SSC strategies to obtain the internationally recognised Quality Management System (QMS), whereas applying standards and requirements for safety is one of the aspects that fall within the quality process.

Al Ali concluded that the initiatives associated with the project are also part of SSC plans to reach the total quality, especially among the target groups, in order to reach safe clubs that meet all these standards, and applying ISO specifications so that the Council and the affiliated clubs become a model applying all standards across these important initiatives.
