SP welcomes new school year with integrated security plan

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Police (SP) welcomed the new school year 2021-2022, with an integrated security plan, implementing all precautionary measures, in coordination and cooperation with strategic partners and concerned authorities to ensure the provision of the highest standards of security and safety for students and educational cadres.
From the start of the new school year, SP has intensified the presence of 70 traffic patrols at intersections and internal and external roads in the Emirate, to regulate traffic and facilitate the movement of school buses.

SP was keen to develop its traffic plans that guarantee a safe school year for students and their parents, in addition to cooperating with the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) in implementing precautionary measures to prevent the repercussions of the pandemic within a special approved protocol.

His Excellency Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police (SP), stressed the importance of effective coordination procedures followed by all work teams to stabilise the educational process in the Emirate and ensure the safety and security of students, praising the excellence of SPEA's plans that guarantee the safety of the educational staff, students and parents.

His Excellency Major General Al Shamsi stressed that the safety of students is a top priority for SP, pointing to the holding of periodic meetings with various strategic partners, which aim to support efforts to preserve the health and safety of students and educational staff, wishing that the new school year would be a happy year for students and parents.

On the traffic side, SP raised the level of traffic readiness for patrols on the first school day of the new year, by intensifying traffic patrols at intersections and internal and external roads in the Emirate, with a number of 70 patrols, to regulate traffic and facilitate the movement of school buses. In addition to checking up on crossings of pedestrians, to ensure traffic safety for students while getting off the vehicle until reaching the school door, in order to achieve its objectives consistent with the Ministry of Interior’s strategy to make roads safer.

On the other hand, the Emiri Guard affirmed its keenness to provide the highest standards of security and traffic safety for school students. This comes by harnessing all its capabilities by distributing security patrols and school security personnel to school complexes to regulate the traffic of vehicles in front of the school gates and adjacent roads, and to secure entry and exit of school students, under the supervision of a number of officers and administration officials.

School security patrols were present, in addition to the patrols of traffic sergeants and the Emiri Guard’s mobile operating room vehicle, in addition to the children’s security traffic patrols, which have a cartoon character designed to attract children, with the purpose of raising their awareness.
