Sharjah 24: As part of its strategy to develop all efforts to protect society from the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sharjah Education Council (SEC) supported the first line of defence through its nursing cadres, which have been qualified to serve the education sector.
This came within the framework of SEC's cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), participating in a number of different activities and programmes over the past period.
A series of workshops were launched as part of the "Super Hero" programme for students of public schools in Sharjah in cooperation with the Friends for Diabetes Association of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, where the number of participating schools reached 39.
His Excellency Mohammed Al Mulla, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Education Council (SEC), highlighted that SEC, under the guidance of His Excellency Dr. Saeed Musabah Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Sharjah Education Council (SEC), was keen to qualify its nursing cadres in the Health Care Department, with the aim of participating hand in hand with MoHAP from the beginning of the pandemic to this day.
His Excellency pointed out that SEC was keen to train 12 nursing staff and qualify them to work in the epidemiological investigation committee of preventive medicine, in order to investigate infected cases and those in contact with students and school workers. SEC worked in the same framework and within proactive plans to ensure the readiness of the educational field to receive students.
His Excellency confirmed that the training plans for the nursing staff were approved during the school holiday by certified trainers from the University of Sharjah and the American Institute of Professional Studies. In addition, an introductory workshop will be held on nutritional guidelines.
His Excellency added that with the reopening of the nurseries, nurses will apply all precautionary measures when dealing with children.
