Sharjah 24: during the month of August, Dr. Sultan Al-Qasimi's Centre, as part of the "Object of the Month" project, sheds light on Qurain Cultural Festival Prize, which was awarded to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, being selected as the cultural festival personality for the year 2004.
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah received the award in 2004 from His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, in a ceremony organised by the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) in the Dasma Theater in the sisterly State of Kuwait.
The Ruler of Sharjah was chosen as the Personality of the Year for the Al Qurain Cultural Festival, whereas he is considered a symbol of the Arab culture being a great support for the cultural movement, having a constant interest in intellectuals, and providing all means that support the cultural movement in various countries of the world.
His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, pointed out that the honouring is a sincere indication and confirmation that awareness and intellect play a role in building nations and leading peoples and societies.
It is noteworthy that "Object of the Month" is a project launched by Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi, and aims to highlight, on a monthly basis, one of the distinctive pieces of His Highness collection, which represents exceptional achievements in various scientific and cultural fields.
