SSC organises summer activity in group and individual games

Sharjah24: The Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) launches the summer activity program in the group and individual games of the Emirate’s clubs during the period from August 8 to September 27, 2021, with the participation of 685 players from different age groups, as part of the council’s plans to enhance targeted programs, discover talents and develop the technical and physical levels of players of different age groups.
The program includes a number of sports camps and matches that are organised in the form of courses in basketball, volleyball, handball, table tennis and football, with the participation of eight clubs from Sharjah, Al Dhaid, Ittihad Kalba, Al Madam, Khorfakkan, Al Bataeh, Dibba Al Hisn and Mleiha, targeting players from different ages, under the supervision of the management of the Sports and Development Affairs and Club follow-up.

On this occasion, Mr. Saeed Ali Al-Ajli, Acting Chairman of the Council stresses that the summer program comes within the Council’s keenness to develop the skills and competencies of the players with the aim of translating the Council’s strategy in caring for young people and providing them with the opportunity to refine their talents, contributing in preparing them to participate in official tournaments to enhance the emirate's sporting achievements.

He added that the game experts are supervising the program, starting from next week until the 27th of September, with the participation of 685 players, including 300 players in handball, 175 players in basketball, 110 players in volleyball, and 100 players in table tennis.

He has further added that the Council attaches great importance to organising events and activities, while adhering to all preventive and precautionary measures throughout the program period, in order to ensure the public safety of the participants.
