Saeed Sultan Al Suwaidi, Chairman of SEWA, received the honourary shield from the Sharjah Directorate of Islamic Affairs’ delegation headed by Abdullah Khalifa Yarouf Al Sebousi, Head of SDIA.
The Chairman of SEWA stressed that the priority is to connect electricity and water to all new mosques in Sharjah after completing the construction, under the direct guidance of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
Al Suwaidi stated that SEWA is in the process of establishing an electronic portal for government agencies through which service requests are submitted, completed and activated as soon as possible without physically visiting the offices, which saves time and effort and facilitates procedures.
Al Suwaidi pointed that coordination with the SDIA continues to provide the best services to mosques and to work on taking all measures to cooperate in the field of rationalising consumption, installing and maintaining water equipment, establishing water recycling projects and replacing lamps with energy-saving ones.
For his part, Head of SDIA praised SEWA for providing the best services to mosques, develop work mechanisms and systems, and raise awareness on using resources, pointing out that the Directorate’s goal is to build mosques applying the standards of rationalising energy and water consumption as a model for the society to follow.
