SEWA: 6,700 natural gas connection for various projects

Sharjah24: During the first half of this year 2021, the Natural Gas Department of the Sharjah Electricity Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) completed more than 6,700 connection points for residential and commercial projects in various areas of Sharjah and managed to provide natural gas services to (38,353) home cooking appliances in Sharjah in accordance with the latest safety and security standards. Also, a number of boxes were changed and replaced with new ones that conform to the latest international specifications.
The statistical report for the first half of this year indicated that 6,700 natural gas connection points were completed, including 5,957 residential projects and 744 commercial projects.
Commenting on this, Engineer Amna Bin Hadda, Director of the Natural Gas Department, explained that the department continues its efforts to complete the natural gas network, which is the first natural gas network in the region, and to deliver services to people in all regions.
She added that the administration is working on completing the main lines network in the areas of Al-Rugaibah and Al-Mowrrada in the suburb of Al-Soyuh, where the network of lines has been completed in all areas of Al- Rugaibah from 1 to 8 with a percentage of 100% as well as in Al-Mowrrada 1 and 2. 20% of the network of lines in Al-Mowrrada has been completed and a scheme has been prepared for the network of Al-Mowrrada 5, 6, and waiting for the completion of the settlement of the lands to start the implementation of the main lines network, and the network of Nasma residences has been completed by 100%.
