Abdullah Sultan bin Khadem, Executive Director of SCI, said that the debts of a number of prisoners in financial cases had been settled, enabling inmates to spend the Eid with their families. He noted that this initiative came within the package of humanitarian initiatives launched within “Adhahi Campaign”, which also included sponsoring the families of those convicted in financial cases. He explained that the current period requires people’s solidarity from all groups so that the SCI can perform its role and cover the largest segment of the needy.
He added that the payment of rent arrears for families who are unable to pay their electricity and water arrears, and who are threatened with the interruption of services were also taken care of, pointing out that the initiative also included the distribution of 50 air conditioners to eligible families to relieve them of the summer heat and extreme humidity, with financial allocations amounting to AED132,000.
Bin Khadem called for joining hands with the SCI to ensure the implementation of the rest of the Charity’s Adhahi Campaign activities, thanking benefactors for their continuous support that had a great impact on the success of the Charity’s campaigns, initiatives and various projects inside and outside the country.
