Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Charity International (SCI) distributed Eid clothing to needy families, who are registered in SCI’s lists. This is one of the projects of the Eid Sacrifice campaign that was announced earlier.
Abdullah Sultan bin Khadim, Executive Director of Sharjah Charity International (SCI), said that the clothing project targeted 10,000 beneficiaries, as financial allocations of one million dirhams were made, to implement the project, which comes within the initiatives of the Eid Sacrifice campaign. SCI’s teams distributed clothing and coupons for the purchase of ready-made clothes to families and their children.
The Executive Director of SCI indicated that lists of the numbers of eligible cases were prepared earlier with the aid committee entrusted with determining the eligible categories. The distribution of coupons was carried out through the headquarter and sub-departments, while the beneficiaries were notified via text messages on the location of the shops that were contracted to provide the clothing.
The Executive Director of SCI explained that the project has a great humanitarian and social significance, as it embodies SCI’s keenness to bring joy to the hearts of the deserving, and the contributions of benefactors reflect the bonds of social solidarity among the groups of society.
The Executive Director of SCI thanked the donors, who contributed to providing these allocations and spreading joy among the needy, calling on philanthropists to the charitable and humanitarian works implemented by SCI.
