Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) is participating in the activities of the 52nd Cairo International Book Fair, which is held from June 30 to July 15, at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre in the Fifth Settlement in Cairo.
The 52nd Cairo International Book Fair comes with the theme ‘In Reading... Life’, under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
During its participation, SBA conveys the cultural vision of the Emirate of Sharjah towards the book industry and the production of knowledge, as it reviews in a special pavilion the efforts led by SBA to support the book and the publishing industry.
SBA opens up opportunities for participating Egyptian, Arab and foreign publishers to benefit from the advantages of Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone (SPCFZ), while attracting pioneers of children's book publishers, artists and writers, along with briefing on the vision of Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF), Sharjah Children's Reading Festival (SCRF), and Sharjah International Literary Agency (SILA). In addition to other efforts that constitute the presence of SBA with its cultural weight on the Arab and global levels.
Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture, Mohamed Rashad, President of the Arab Publishers Union, and a number of ministers and officials visited SBA’s pavilion during the official opening ceremony of the exhibition. They were received by Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, Chairman of the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA). The pavilion also received a number of official figures, senior intellectuals, and writers.
His Excellency Ahmed Al Ameri handed over to His Excellency Dr. Mustafa Madbouly a signed copy of the book of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, “The Inquisition” presented to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, in addition to a copy for the Prime Minister.
In turn, His Excellency Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, praised the cultural experience of the Emirate of Sharjah for its role in supporting the cultural movement in the region and presenting an image worthy of Arab culture to the whole world.
