Sharjah 24: Sharjah Police Science Academy celebrates the 25th anniversary of the issuance of Law No. 2 of 1996 on the establishment of the Police Science Academy by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
On this occasion, the Academy launched a number of community, cultural and sports events and activities that will continue until the end of March 2022, which coincides with the graduation of the 22nd class of officers.
In a statement on this occasion, His Excellency Brigadier General Dr. Mohammed Khamis Al Othmani, Chairman of the Scientific Council of Sharjah Police Science Academy (SPSA), said that during this short period, the Academy made great achievements at all levels. He added that the Academy will launch, on this occasion, a continuous series of social, security, cultural and sports events that shed light on the Academy’s journey and the stages.
Brigadier General Dr. Mohammed Khamis Al Othmani indicated that His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah was keen to support the Academy throughout its scientific and security journey, with his great care, and was keen to make it one of the best security educational institutions in the region. Thanks to His Highness support, the Academy was and will continue to enjoy a prestigious position and rise among its peers at the regional and international levels.
Brigadier General Dr. Mohammed Khamis Al Othmani concluded that during the last 25 years, SPSA accredited the Bachelor's Programme in Police Science from the Ministry of Education, and a postgraduate programme in Master's and Ph.D. The Academy worked to attract distinguished educational staff and scientific competencies from inside and outside the country.
At the practical level, Police Applications have been developed for the undergraduate programmes, and other practical programmes aimed at refining leadership skills and enhancing the security sense of the affiliates.
