Sharjah 24: Sharjah Municipality (SM) announced the launch the first of its kind innovative digital smart platform, to manage the daily tasks of employees by feeding the platform with tasks implemented each week. All municipality committees and teams can use the platform to enhance their performance and work documentation.
Sharjah Municipality also launched a special comprehensive user guide, and purpose of the platform circulated to the employees, whereas the Municipality is the first government entity in Sharjah to launch such a platform.
Reem Abdullah Al Russi, Director of Human Resources Department at Sharjah Municipality, stated that the platform represents the Municipality's keenness to follow up on all tasks assigned to employees, and the developments they undertake to develop the work system with creative and innovative ideas.
Al Russi pointed that the platform also aims to document the tasks of all employees, working in the office or remotely, to achieve the transparency of evaluating the annual performance. This platform is also an effective tool for following up and developing performance.
She explained that the Platform is an important tool to follow up teams work and obtain feedback on the performance.
The Platform reflects positively on the work environment and achieves positive competitiveness, which is the Municipality goal to develop employees’ skills.
The Director of Human Resources Department indicated that the Platform enables line managers to review employees’ tasks to be approved, returned or rejected.
Reem Abdullah Al Russi concluded that the Municipality is keen to develop methodologies for evaluating employees, departments, and sectors in line with Sharjah Municipality strategy in achieving organisational growth and development, and realising leadership and competitiveness.
