Sharjah 24: The Government of Sharjah has provided the General Directorate of Civil Defence with seven advanced firefighting and rescue vehicles.
On this occasion, Colonel Sami Khamis Al Naqbi, Director General of the Sharjah General Directorate of Civil Defence, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Government of Sharjah for its support, adding that the Directorate is working in accordance with a plan to achieve the vision of the UAE Government and that of the Emirate of Sharjah in particular, to be one of the safest countries in the world.

He explained that the new vehicles are equipped according to the latest specialised work standards in terms of efficiency in fighting fires, which enhances the work of firefighters, rescue operations and dealing with hazardous materials, adding that the new vehicles are compatible with the Gulf specifications and the land transport regulations of the UAE to deal with the surrounding weather conditions in terms of temperature and humidity.
