Sharjah24: Sheikh Saud bin Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director of the "Sharjah Digital" Office, and his delegation were welcomed by Brigadier General Dr. Mohammed Khamis Al Othmani, Director General of the Police Science Academy (PSA). The two parties discussed bilateral cooperation and efforts to achieve digital transformation in the Academy, including work procedures and regulations, along with implementing developed technology.
The meeting focused on the role of the “Sharjah Digital” Office, which was established by the Executive Council in June. The office's mission is to raise awareness among government agencies about the importance of digital transformation, develop public policy and strategic plans related to digital transformation and data policies at the emirate level, and ensure the coordination of transformation-related initiatives.
Sheikh Saud Al Qasimi confirmed the Sharjah Digital Office's readiness to collaborate with the Academy and all other government agencies in the Emirate of Sharjah in order to implement digital transformation training programmes and plans for employees, as well as to provide various types of support, advice, and proposals aimed at overcoming the challenges and obstacles that they may face.
Brigadier Al-Othmani, for his part, praised Sheikh Saud Al Qasimi's efforts and steps to explain the vision and objectives of the “Sharjah Digital” Office, track the emirate's digital transformation, and seek to strengthen institutional partnership and joint cooperation, which contributes to increasing the efficiency of government services and information, keeping up with developments and providing them through the Sharjah digital platform and the government's official portal He stated that the Academy is fully prepared to take all administrative, technical, and organizational measures and steps necessary to achieve the desired result.
