Sharjah24: Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) held a meeting with the Etihad Energy Services Company "Etihad Esco" wholly owned by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, with the aim of discussing joint plans to expand cooperation in the field of improving energy efficiency and advanced systems for rationalizing consumption, supporting programmes to enhance sustainability and exchanging experiences in this field.
Engineer Ghada Jumaa, Director of the Conservation Department at SEWA, explained that during the meeting, aspects of cooperation in rationalizing electricity, water and gas consumption projects, renewable and clean energy projects and spreading community awareness in the field of rationalizing consumption were discussed. The administration seeks joint cooperation with expert houses and specialised companies to achieve the strategy that includes rationalizing consumption by 30%.
During the meeting, Faisal Al Raisi, Acting Chief Operating Officer of Etihad Energy Services, confirmed that the company is keen to support the efforts of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority to achieve sustainability goals and achieve the goals set in the energy field, as this represents an important step on the road to achieving sustainability in Sharjah and at the level of the country as a whole.
