SEWA lights Khorfakkan tunnels through a new production station

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA)’s Khorfakkan Department, has completed the connection of electricity to light the tunnels of Khorfakkan Road, as it were previously fed by diesel machines.
9 Diesel generators were canceled, and replaced with the installation of 4 11/415 kV stations, which were fed from the 1133 kV subway station.
 
Engineer Ahmed Al Mulla, Director of Khorfakkan Department, stated that the implementation of this strategic project comes in implementation of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to provide the best services to all regions of the Emirate of Sharjah. 

It also comes within the framework of SEWA’s keenness to develop its services and achieve stability. In addition to, the stability of the electrical network and the access of services to all areas of the Emirate of Sharjah with high efficiency and the application of the best security and safety standards.
  
The Director of Khorfakkan Department pointed out that SEWA made great efforts in order to deliver electricity services to the tunnels, as it built and operated a main distribution station (the tunnel station/1133 kV). Along with the extension of main interconnection lines from the Khorfakkan power plant to the subway station (1133 kV), with a length of more than 13 km, as well as installing sub-stations (11/415 kV).
