Sharjah 24: Saeed Sultan Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA), received Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police. The two sides discussed enhancing joint cooperation in various fields, coordination in future security cooperation and presenting the initiatives of the Sharjah Police regarding rationalisation and optimal use of energy (electricity, water and gas).
Welcoming Sharjah Police delegation, Saeed Sultan Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, expressed his happiness for the visit, which comes within the framework of strengthening communication and integration among various local institutions and departments in implementation of the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to the need for concerted efforts to achieve the objectives of the Sharjah Government strategy.
During the meeting, Al Suwaidi reviewed the Authority's efforts and development process and the initiatives it launched with the aim of achieving sustainable development and providing the best services to the residents of the Emirate of Sharjah. He praised the tangible efforts of the Sharjah Police, which aim to maintain security and stability in the community.
For his part, Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi praised the peak hour initiative launched by SEWA under the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah to raise awareness of community on this vital issue, which received a tangible response from various segments and groups of society. He valued His Highness’s approval of the Sharjah City of Conservation charter to add a new feather in Sharjah’s cap of achievements in all fields.
Concluding the meeting, the Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police thanked SEWA chairman and praised the Authority’s efforts and development projects, and its keenness to trigger cooperation and coordination with various local and federal authorities, and the initiatives it launches, stressing the keenness of the Sharjah Police to interact with these initiatives, especially those aimed at the rationalisation of consumption and the optimal use of energy and water in government buildings and facilities.
He stressed the ongoing coordination and cooperation between Sharjah Police and SEWA in all areas, especially those related to securing and protecting facilities, electrical networks, water lines, and developing human cadres.
At the end of the meeting, SEWA’s employees were honoured for their efforts in holding educational workshops to rationalise and spread the culture of rationalisation and their permanent cooperation with Sharjah Police.
