Sharjah 24: Sharjah Municipality (SM) revealed the confiscation of two vehicles loaded with a large amount of prohibited materials, during daily inspection of the Municipal Inspection Department teams related to the Customer Service Sector.
In an effort to combat negative behaviours and distortions of the general appearance, Sharjah Municipality seized 13 tons, stored to be promoted and sold.

Khalid bin Falah Al Suwaidi, Assistant Director General of Sharjah Municipality for the Customer Service Sector stated that the Municipality intensified its inspection campaigns during the month of Ramadan to monitor any negative behaviours of the civilized appearance, following up all observations received through the call center.

The inspection campaigns seized two vehicles, the first vehicle was loaded with 7201 kilos of prohibited materials, and the second one was loaded with 5,210 kilos, whereas the owner was about to store one of the city’s bakeries.

Al Suwaidi pointed out that the necessary measures have been taken against the owner, fined both vehicles and destroyed the seized materials, in cooperation with the Sharjah Environmental Management Company "Bee'ah", indicating that the daily inspection campaigns reflect the municipality's objectives in providing an ideal environment for residents, in line with its strategy to achieve a better quality of life, and to enhance Sharjah appearance.
