Sharjah 24: Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) is participating in the 12th edition of the Sharjah Children's Reading Festival (SCRF), organised by the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), under the slogan "For Your Imagination", from 19 to 29 May, through a special platform that provides children with a package of activities and events aimed at stimulating their imaginations and enhancing their abilities.
SPEA organises, through its platform, during the days of the festival, a number of activities appropriate for children, including the magazine of games and mental activities, which is an electronic magazine that provides mental, artistic and creative activities suitable for children.
SPEA also provides sessions for educational counseling targeting parents and educators through its platform and discusses a number of topics such as how we build positive motivation in our children, the methods of detection of talented children and how would the family caring for them, and the role of the family in the virtual school and distance learning.
Through the platform, SPEA presents the "Drawing Challenge" event, which allows children to imagine and draw a cover for the story "My School is Most Beautiful", as well as the recital activity in the "Narrator" workshops, during which interesting stories are read to children in an interactive way that provoke their imagination. In addition to broadening their horizons to analyse the stories, the characters and the events.
The platform offers interactive games suitable for different age groups for children, by providing an electronic interactive games screen on of the platform, and it also allows visitors to its platform to take memorial photos with a number of UAE leaders or comic characters via the virtual photography screen.
In this regard, Ali Al Hosani, Director of the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA), stressed the importance of the festival and its role in enhancing children's skills and empowering their abilities, given the variety of options and the abundance of accompanying activities. He pointed out that the nations that seek to prosper and establish a culture of creativity and innovation are what provide children with the ideal environment for reading and learning through festivals, initiatives, and various activities, keeping pace with the growth and development of the educational system.
He added that the platform provided by SPEA hosts elite educational specialists, to provide educational and behavioural advice to parents, students and visitors, with the aim of developing the skills of dealing with children and providing home education.
Those wishing to participate can pre-register on SPEA's website, and choose one of the two evening shifts, whether from 4 pm until 7 pm, or from 7 until 10 pm, as the festival is open daily from 4 pm to 10 pm. 10 pm, except on Saturdays from 10 am to 8 pm.
SPEA, through its participation, seeks to strengthen cooperation frameworks with the authorities and institutions concerned with developing children's skills, upgrading their capabilities, and unleashing their imaginations.
