Sharjah 24: Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH) talked, in his programme, Shdu Al Huruf, about the life of the late Emirati poet, Obaid Bin Muadad Al Nuaimy, who was born in Al Ain in 1929, and presented samples of his most famous poems.
His Excellency Dr. Al Musallam, introduced Al Nuaimy creative biography reflecting the poet’s reality, position and poetic taste. He spoke about his skills as a narrator telling and memorising stories and novels.
Commenting on this, Dr. Al Musallam noted that the poet was honoured by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in 2007, as one of the most important and distinguished narrators in the Emirates.
In his programme "Shdu Al Huruf", he said that Al Nuaimy remained present in the world of poetry, despite the fact that he is multitalented, whether in the world of poetry, writing and narrating, or having different professions and jobs.
Dr. Al Musallam concluded that Obaid Bin Muadad Al Nuaimy was a poet from the good old days, where stories were purposeful taking us in a beautiful journey.
