This came during a high-level meeting chaired by the Director General of ALECSO, Professor Dr. Mohamed Ould Omar, and the Secretary General of the Arab Organisation for Theatre Professor Ismail Abdullah, which resulted in the development of a joint work plan and the formation of A bilateral committee from both sides to follow up and implement the axes of the drawn plan.
This is in implementation of the kind directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, High President of the Arab Theatre Institute (ATI), to make the body a tent for all Arab playwrights and to expand its radiance and openness to international and Arab institutions concerned with theatrical affairs.
