Sharjah 24: His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH), presented a virtual lecture entitled "Ramadan in the popular memory of Arab societies, similarities and differences", at the Shamma Bint Mohammed Council for Thought and Knowledge, within the Council's Ramadan activities.
This came in the presence of Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural and Educational Institutions.
His Excellency discussed the customs and behaviour of people in Ramadan in the past, locally and in the Arab world, and touched on Al Misharati, the Ramadan Cannon and the Ramadan Iftar tables.
The lecture received remarkable lively interaction by the attendees and followers who made valuable interventions and raised important questions that influenced the lecture.
