Sharjah 24: Two years after its establishment on 7 April of 2019, the Arab Parliament for the Child (APC) under the umbrella of the League of Arab States (LAS), with the generous support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, continues in the process of developing Arab childhood.
In these days, the General Secretariat of APC celebrates at its headquarters in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, with continuous efforts since the establishment of the parliament, receiving four children from every Arab country, to hold sessions and discuss their issues with remarkable success.
APC has established its endeavours, with the aim of consolidating the rights of children, empowering them and building their capabilities, allowing children to have their role and presence, based on guiding values and principles.
Sharjah adopted the idea of establishing APC, which was launched with the support and directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, and with the follow-up of His Excellency Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of the Arab League. This comes to draw the future of children and strengthen its role towards the national and Arab issues.
By seven of April, two years have passed since the success of the establishment of APC. Its role as a pioneering and unique Arab institution at the regional level will continue, and it has created an ideal environment for children from Arab countries, to meet and exercise from its platform their inherent rights in the various issues.
