Sharjah 24: Khorfakkan Fort, affiliated to the Sharjah Museums Authority, organised, on Thursday, a variety of free entertainment activities for children, accompanied by their families, as part of the celebration of the Haq Al Laila (which means For this Night), an annual tradition that falls in the middle of Sha’aban, the eighth month of the Islamic Hijri calendar.
Bashayer Bu Hindi Al Mansouri, supervisor of visitor service in the Khorfakkan fort, stressed the importance of celebrating the night of the middle of Sha’aban in bringing joy and happiness to children, and consolidating the folklore and the authentic customs and traditions.
In her statement to “Sharjah 24”, on the sidelines of the celebration, Al Mansouri said that the event included many heritage activities and workshops, which brought joy to families and children in particular, who interacted remarkably with the “Haq Al Laila " gifts.
