The events saw the presence of Khamis bin Salem Al Suwaidi, Member of the Sharjah Executive Council, Chairman of the SDVAD; Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah Districts and Villages Affairs Department (SDVAD); Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage; Minister of Culture of Tajikistan Davlatzoda Zulfiya Davlat; and Ambassador of Tajikistan to the UAE, Sharifi Bahodur Mahmudzoda, in addition to lovers of heritage and a large group of people and residents of Khorfakkan and the Eastern Region, and visitors from around the UAE.
The attendees were familiarised by the department's participation in this year’s SHD in Khorfakkan, which included the heritage drawings corner and the heritage collections corner of the Khorfakkan Association for Culture and Folklore Arts.
The department hosted a troupe of Macedonian folklore, and the traditional costumes for children presented by the Khorfakkan Child Centre, in addition to hosting a talent from the city of Khorfakkan for live painting by the artist Nouf as well as workshops for children.
The department’s rich participation also included various heritage activities and events.
