Sharjah 24: Al Hirah Literary Council in Sharjah Department of Culture hosted the poets Ali Matar Al Mazroui and Mohammed Obaid Al Kaabi, in a poetry event presented by Ali Al Shwain.
The event witnessed the presence of Butti Al Mazloum, Director of Al Hirah Literary Council, and an audience of poetry fans, while adhering to the precautionary measures to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Al Shwain began the event thanking His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for His Highness’s great interest in literary heritage, an interest exemplified by Al Hirah Literary Council.

The presenter shed light on the biography of Al Mazrouei, stating that he is an Emirati poet, born in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, inspired by poetry from an authentic Bedouin environment, during which his love for poetry grew. He wrote poems, until his poetic vocabulary became an integral part of his personality and daily life.

Al Shwain touched also on Mohammed Al Kaabi's biography, who is born in the Emirate of Ajman, and knew poetry from the earliest days of his life, writing poems that inspired many lovers of poetry.

The event also saw the presentation of poetry by Al Mazroui and Al Kaabi.
