In an exclusive statement to “Sharjah 24”, he said that the project comes following the completion of the main network for sanitation and rainwater drainage, and the provision of technical and logistical support to clean the main lines there, and periodically maintain them using the latest equipment and mechanisms in the municipality's fleet.
Al Naqbi explained that the work teams, under the supervision of the municipality, have begun to deliver supplies from citizens' homes to the main lines of the network, adding that the requests submitted in this regard were dealt with immediately, without fees charged by the municipality.
He pointed out that the project would reduce the impact of rain on the area, which was previously exposed to some damage during the winter season as a result of the accumulation of rainwater in its streets prior to the construction of the network.
Al Mudaifi is one of the largest areas in the city of Khorfakkan where more than 1000 homes benefit from the sewage network project.
