Sharjah24: The House of Poetry in the Department of Culture in Sharjah launched on Monday the activities of the World Poetry Day with poetry readings in the Literary Café in Sharjah, which was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah during the activities of the 18th session of the Sharjah Arab Poetry Festival 2020.

During the cultural event, the Emirati poet Ahmad Muhammad Obaid and the poet Mahmoud Saleh from Palestine participated in this event, in the presence of His Excellency Abdullah Al Owais, Chairman of Sharjah Department of Culture, as well as several other dignitaries. 

At the conclusion of the poetry readings, His Excellency Abdullah Al Owais honoured the Emirati poet Ahmad Muhammad Obaid and the poet Mahmoud Saleh from Palestine, and the presenter of the event, the poet Nizar Abu Nasser.
