Sharjah 24: As a continuation of the activities of Sharjah Department of Culture and on occasion of the International Women's Day, Al Hirah Literary Council organised a women's poetry readings event.
The event witnessed the participation of the poet Hamda Al Murr and the poet Salima Al Mazrouei, during which Bardis Khalifa presented the poetry.
The readings were attended by His Excellency Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of Sharjah Department of Culture, Professor Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qusayr, Director of Cultural Affairs in the department, Batti Al Mazloum, Director of Al Hirah Literary Council of Sharjah, and a crowd of poetry lovers.
The event was broadcasted on the department's social media sites.
At the end of the event, His Excellency Abdullah Al Owais honoured Al Murr, Al Mazrouei and Khalifa with certificates of appreciation.
