Sharjah24: Sharjah Museums Authority (SMA) will be marking this year’s International Women’s Day by hosting a virtual panel discussion that highlights women’s representation in art.
Held on Monday March 8, at 7PM, on the sidelines of SMA’s Lasting Impressions latest edition which is featuring Algerian artist Baya Mahieddine, the virtual session is moderated by international presenter Sally Mousa.

Speakers include Suheyla Takesh, Curator, Barjeel Art Foundation; Nada Shabout, Arab Art Historian; and Hala Khayat, Regional Director, Art Dubai.

Titled ‘Women’s Representation in Arts’, the open to the public conversation will provide an overview of the history of Arab women, and shine a light on the challenges women artists face globally.

Members of the public and media representatives are invited to attend and enrich the discussion which will be held remotely and can be joined via the link https://rb.gy/xbjvqi
