Houses of poetry in the Arab world celebrate its world day

Sharjah24: The Department of Culture in Sharjah organised a remote meeting with poetry houses in the Arab world, to discuss responsible for preparing the houses for the International Poetry Day, in the presence of Abdullah Al Owais, Chairman of Sharjah Department of Culture, and several dignitaries.
Commenting on this, Abdullah Al Owais welcomed the attendees and conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, congratulating the House of Poetry in Nouakchott for organising the sixth session of the Arab Poetry Festival that was held recently. Al Owais explained that His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah attaches special importance to poetry houses, always directing them to more giving, lauding the remarkable efforts made by poetry houses during the past period. The Director of the House of Poetry in Sharjah, Muhammad Al-Breiki, reviewed the activities of the House during the International Poetry Day according to the developments of the pandemic.
Al-Breiki said that the house will organise poetry readings for 4 poets, in addition to honouring the lecturers of the poetry art workshop and performances of the 2020 session, and a film about the poetry art workshop and the performances of the 12th session 2020, in addition to organising an exhibition of photos.
