SSSD arranges 1530 meetings for children to see divorced parents

Sharjah24: Aiming to help children meet their divorced parents and spend quality time with them coming to the center, the Family Forum Center of the Sharjah Social Services Department: (SSSD) has arranged 1530 meetings at homes between children and their separated parents, as part of the outdoor meetings that were carried out from the beginning of April to the end of 2020.
Around 721 family meetings were conducted inside the center, during the pre-Covid pandemic period, specifically during the first quarter of last year.
Commenting on this, Faiza Hassan Khabab, Director of the Family Forum Center, stressed that before the Coronavirus crisis, the Centre used to receive the children at the centre to enable them to see their parents. She emphasised that during the current situation and in line with promoting the social distancing among the individuals, the centre conducted the visits at homes, contributing in strengthening the preventive measures that the government directed to follow, in order to preserve the safety and health of children and their families.
Faiza Hassan Khabab highlighted the keenness of the Social Services Department to implement all the provisions and agreements that ensure the safety of the children and their parents.
