Sharjah24: Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) has launched; "Tamkeen" initiative to employ low-income people through a cooperation contract, with the aim of providing them with technical and practical skills that enhance the work culture of this category and motivate them to obtain what is compatible with their abilities and skills and provide them with professional experiences that enable them to become self-reliant in the future and become productive energies and qualify them for an opportunity permanent work.
The initiative launched by the Social Services Department targets; Age groups less than 45 years old.
The department called; Entities to cooperate and participate in this initiative to provide suitable job opportunities for this category, train and qualify them to develop their performance; Pointing out that the bodies cooperating with the department always seek integration with each other to achieve the desired benefit in serving the community and enhancing the well-being of its members.
The department is also working continuously to develop many social initiatives that enable families to add material income that helps them either by production or by providing additional sources of income in coordination with the concerned authorities, in order to enhance the emirate’s approach aimed at ensuring the achievement of decent living for the citizens of the emirate.
Alia Al Zaabi, Director of the Social Aid Department, said: Since its launch last month, the initiative has now attracted; 27 employees of this category, and they started practicing their job in the department and 3 government agencies.
